The mountains offer good hiking conditions on Friday, the Mountain Rescue Service of the Bulgarian Red Cross told the Bulgarian News Agency.

The weather is sunny and clear. Skiing facilities in mountain resorts are not operational, the MRS added.

According to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, cumulonimbus clouds are likely to form around and after noon. Rain showers and thunder are expected in many places in western and central Bulgaria. Light to moderate north-northeasterly wind. Highs: 22C at 1,200 metres, 15C at 2,000 metres.
