At the sound of sirens at noon on June 2, people in the streets stop right where they are and stand still for two minutes in commemoration of Bulgaria's national heroes (BTA Photo/Minko Chernev)
Sirens will be sounded across the country for two minutes at noon to mark the Day of Botev and Those Fallen for the Freedom and the Independence of Bulgaria. Pedestrians and drivers are asked to stop right where they are and stand still for the duration of the siren signal.
