Executive Producer at Nova Broadcasting Group Metodi Vladimirov called for more active communication between the media, institutions and businesses during the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) BG Tourism – Summer 2025 forum in Pomorie on Sunday.
BTA deserves great credit for organizing this forum, another successful event that brought together representatives from the media, government, and business in one place. "In the end, after all the challenges we discuss, it always comes down to communication and talking," Vladimirov said. He encouraged more dialogue and regular meetings to address the issues in the tourism sector and find practical solutions.
"My request is simple: let us talk and meet at forums such as this one and discuss the issues so we can find solutions together. If you talk to us, we will talk to you," he told representatives from government and business. Vladimirov said that only through active cooperation can the media showcase positive examples in Bulgarian tourism.
"We don’t have information about what’s happening in Pomorie, Primorsko, Kiten, or other towns and villages. Please get involved and share your ideas with us. If you bring us a good story, we will make sure to cover it quickly. We want to connect with everyone," he said.
Commenting on the recent issue of oil pollution in Pomorie, Vladimirov addressed the town’s mayor Ivan Aleksiev directly.
"In recent days, when we talked about the oil issue, we spoke with the mayor and shared some jokes. Personally, I have never seen the water so clean. So, if you notice a similar problem, invite the media to visit and show them the beaches and the water. This is the best way to address any rumors about oil on the beach. We should keep up the dialogue," Vladimirov said.
