After the 24 May holidays, the "There Is Such a People" (TISP) party will propose a declaration reaffirming Bulgaria's position on the Republic of North Macedonia, TISP deputy floor leader Stanislav Balabanov told journalists in parliament on Friday.

He pointed out that the declaration would be presented to the attention of all parliamentary groups. It will mention all the agreements and elements of the negotiating framework, so that there is no outside pressure on Bulgaria to greenlight North Macedonia’s EU accession without actually fulfilling their accession conditions, Balabanov said.

TISP are calling on Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, President Rumen Radev and Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev to react on the issue and to focus their attention, Stanislav Balabanov added.

The reason for his statement was a congress in Nice in early May, where the European Free Alliance adopted an anti-Bulgarian declaration.
