The fifth edition of RE-Source Southeast Conference, the key event for corporate renewable energy sourcing in Southeast Europe, will take place on May 21 and 22 at Sofia Tech Park, said Tuesday organizers from the Bulgarian Wind Energy Association (BGWEA) and the Association for the Production, Storage, and Trading of Electricity (APSTE) supported by the European RE-Source Platform.
Over 450 guests from 24 countries are expected to attend the event, including CEOs, energy experts, energy traders, analysts, and investors. Key topics will include the energy transition in the region, regulatory challenges, decarbonization, innovations in electricity trading, environmental, social and governance strategies, and the challenges facing energy infrastructure.
Energy Minister Zhecho Stankov has been invited to open the conference. Among the participants will be BGWEA Supervisory Board Chairperson Miglena Stoilova, who will take part in the official opening and join a panel discussion on trends and regulations in Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, and Turkiye. BGWEA will present the latest data on the wind energy potential in the country and advocate for a stable regulatory framework and long-term vision from institutions.
Countries that harness the power of the wind secure their future. The transition to renewable energy is not just a technological step, but a moral commitment to our children, according to BGWEA.
