Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov left for Tirana on Thursday to participate in the European Political Community Summit, which will be held on Friday, May 16.

The sixth meeting of the European Political Community will bring together leaders from across the continent under the theme "New Europe in a new world: unity – cooperation – joint action."

The forum will bring together 46 heads of state and government from across the continent. The meeting’s agenda includes a plenary session dedicated to security and the future of Europe.

Prime Minister Zhelyazkov will participate in a round table “Open Europe with Secure Borders” dedicated to the challenges of mobility and empowerment of young people, a press release from the Bulgarian government said. The discussion will cover topics such as legal migration routes, the fight against human trafficking, brain drain, the labour market, the role of artificial intelligence and the active inclusion of young people and the diaspora in the development of regions.

The European Political Community aims to promote political dialogue and cooperation on issues of common interest, as well as to strengthen the security, stability and prosperity of the European continent. The next European Political Community Forum is scheduled for autumn 2025 in Denmark, the press release said
