site.btaFinance Minister Petkova Signs Cooperation Agreement with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development

Minister of Finance Temenuzhka Petkova and the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso signed in Brussels Tuesday an Agreement on Cooperation and Activities of the Bank in Bulgaria, the Ministry of Finance said on its website.

The government tasked the finance minister with conducting the negotiations and signing the document on behalf of Bulgaria.

The EBRD is one of the significant investors in Bulgaria. Since its inception until January 31, 2025, the EBRD has invested EUR 4.791 billion to finance 307 projects in Bulgaria in the fields of sustainable infrastructure, finance, industry, trade and agribusiness.

The conclusion of the Cooperation Agreement with the EBRD is appropriate in order to maintain good partnership relations with the international institution and favours the expansion of the Bank's activities in Bulgaria, the announcement said.
