In the first quarter of 2025, the newly registered legal entities in the country were 12,207, and those declared bankrupt – 1,091. Compared to the fourth quarter of 2024, the total number of newly registered increased by 9.5%, and that of bankruptcies decreased by 6.4%. Compared to Q1 of 2024, the total number of newly registered decreased by 0.2%, and that of bankruptcies increased by 10.0%.
The NSI report shows that in Q1 of 2024, there were 12,229 newly registered and 992 bankrupt entities in the country. Compared to the same quarter in 2023, the total number of newly registered entities decreased by 7.4% and the number of bankrupt entities decreased by 14.1%.
Of all the newly registered firms in the first quarter of 2025, the largest number (88%) were in the Trade; Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles sector. In the case of those declared bankrupt, the largest number again fell in the same sector - 88.5%. For the first quarter of 2024 the distribution was similar.
