Holy Synod Elects Temporary Head after Patriarch Neophyte's Passing
The Holy Synod convenes here on Tuesday to elect a temporary head after the passing of Neophyte, Patriarch of Bulgaria and Metropolitan of Sofia, the Bulgarian National Radio reported. Once elected, his functions will include organizing the election of a new Patriarch, which should take place within four months of the last Patriarch's passing.
