Flower sellers have been selling various bouquets since the morning hours of March 8, Women's Day, in Ankara. In the centre of the Turkish capital a great number of women pass by with flowers and gifts.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also greeted women on their holiday.

A themed demonstration began at 6 pm local time in the central College Square on the occasion of March 8. The event was organised by the Ankara Women's Platform.
