1884: Sofia City Council allocates site for construction of building for Bulgarian Literary Society.

1911: Bulgarian Literary Society becomes Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

1938: Elections held for 24th Ordinary National Assembly.

1945: Bulgarian 1st Army begins Drava Operation against German forces in Yugoslavia, Hungary and Austria during World War II (completed March 21, 1945). 

2004: Fire breaks out on ground floor of Council of Ministers building.
