A bus and a car collided at 2 a.m. on Monday on the Kayseri-Malatya road in Central Turkiye, killing two people and leaving 20 injured, CNN TÜRK reported.

Teams of the gendarmerie, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, and medics rushed to the scene.

The driver of the car and a passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Twenty people in the bus were left injured and were admitted to local hospitals.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
