site.btaErdogan: Economy Team Will Bring Down Inflation to Single Digits

Turkiye's economy team is capable of bringing down inflation to single digits, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters during his flight back from Hungary, the Turkish media reported on Monday.

Erdogan recalled that his government had achieved a fall in inflation to single digits in the past, and said Turks should have faith in his Justice and Development Party to do it again. 

The Turkish Statistical Institute said July inflation stood at 47.8% on an annual basis.

 Turkiye's new central bank leadership said recently its main task would be to lower inflation.
