The government Security Council held a regular meeting chaired by Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov on Thursday, the government press-centre said.

The focus of the discussions was the draft law submitted to the National Assembly on amendments and additions to the law on control of the implementation of restrictive measures in view of Russia's actions destabilizing the situation in Ukraine. The Council decided that reports should be prepared on the possible national security implications that could result from the adoption of the tabled bill.

The members of the Security Council also discussed the warning area declared by Russia in the exclusive economic zone of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Black Sea. 

The Council adopted internal rules for the organization and conduct of the meetings of the Security Council, the purpose of which is to ensure optimal and systematic work and organization of the Council's meetings.
