site.btaCabinet Approves Draft Statement of Intent For Accession to Technical Agreement on NATO Enhanced Vigilance Measures in Bulgaria

The government decided on approving the draft Statement of Intent (SOI) of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Turkey to accede to the Technical Agreement between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Defence of the Italian Republic on NATO Enhanced Vigilance Arrangements (eVA) in Bulgaria and the provision of Host Nation Support (HNS) and other responsibilities. 

By the above-mentioned Statement, the Turkish Defence Ministry agrees to comply with the provisions of the Technical Agreement between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Defence of Italy on the implementation of NATO Enhanced Vigilance (eVA) measures in Bulgaria, as a Contributing Party (CN) for the provision of host nation support and other responsibilities.

By the decision of the Council of Ministers, the Republic of Bulgaria confirms its commitments to provide host nation support to NATO forces participating in the implementation of NATO enhanced vigilance measures (eVA) in Bulgaria.
