site.btaSofia Mayor Fandakova Has Ordered Continuous Control of Yellow Pavements Realignment

I have arranged for daily, ongoing monitoring of the yellow pavements' realignment, said Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova on Nova TV.

"My big pain is the yellow pavements", Fandakova added. "They are significant for Sofia and for all citizens of Sofia. You know that the pavement was disgracefully arranged. I invited some of the best experts, we did our best. Now it is up to the builders to do their job", she added.

Fandakova explained that she has ordered a representative of the construction supervision and the municipality to be at the site of the renovation at all times. She stressed that the deputy mayor is on the site five times a day. "If the company, which is one of the largest construction companies in Bulgaria, dares to fail in this task again, not only will it not be paid and it will be sanctioned for the entire contract, but it will mean to me that the company may have other objectives", the Mayor added.

According to her, the instructions that the municipality's representatives are giving to the workers on the ground are not being carried out. Fandakova said that on two occasions since the realinment began, the deputy mayor has personally sent the workers back for re-work.
