site.btaEconomy Minister Bogdanov Visits Largest Corn Processing Enterprise in Bulgaria "ADM Razgrad"

Economy and Industry Minister Bogdan Bogdanov visited the largest Bulgarian corn processing enterprise ADM Razgrad EAD. He was accompanied by Ivan Mihaylov, CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Bulgaria, Daniel Kiryakov, AmCham Communications Manager, and Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) Director General Kiril Valchev. Enterprise manager Steve Matuszak and production manager Nayden Tsvetkov attended the meeting. 

Before touring the production facilities, Bogdanov presented Bulgaria as a suitable place for business development and expressed his readiness for assistance and support in the implementation of the future plans of the investor, whose main activity is the extraction of primary products for the food industry through deep processing of corn. 

The Minister suggested that the company should also relocate its development centre to this country, pointing to the possibility of Bulgaria's accession to Schengen. It was also stressed that the country has enough well-trained personnel and professionals.

Tsvetkov said that the company currently employs over 380 people, mostly from Razgrad and the region. The latest expansion investment, completed in 2021, was worth nearly BGN 200 million. Thanks to it, the capacity of the enterprise has been doubled. The production capacity is 2,500 tonnes of corn per day, Tsvetkov specified.

"The Bulgarian News Agency covers businesses and companies with their names and can be a partner", Valchev stressed. He announced the upcoming opening of the Agency's press club in Razgrad.
