President of the Bulgarian Basketball Federation Georgi Glushkov expressed his happiness on occasion of his talks with the Minister of Youth and Sports Dimitar Iliev and the Executive Director of the European Basketball Federation (FIBA Europe) Kamil Novak. "We were able to share our views on the development of basketball with a focus on adolescents", Glushkov said, adding that he shared with the Minister the highlights of the new four-year strategic plan, which is expected to be presented in in October.

During the meeting in Sofia, the possibility for Bulgaria to bid to host the European Women's Basketball Championship in 2025 was also discussed.

"Kamil Novak again praised us as a serious tournament organizer and emphasized the good partnership of the federation with FIBA," Glushkov explained.
