The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) signed a partnership agreement with Sofia's Vassil Levski National Sports Academy (NSA) on Wednesday. BTA Director General Kiril Valchev and NSA Rector Nikolai Izov affixed their signatures to the agreement.
Izov said in a comment: "We were glad and surprised to hear BTA's proposal for cooperation. An agreement with such an institution has much potential. I hope our partnership develops as a friendship beyond the scope of the agreement."
Valchev said BTA's partnership with NSA can develop on three levels. On a pragmatic level, NSA students can have internships at the national news agency, and the best of them can stay on to work at the BTA Sports Desk. Second, BTA can promote physical education systematically. Finally, BTA will spread information in Bulgarian and English about the three faculties at NSA, which will reach a vast audience and will help attract more sport students from abroad.
