Prime Minister Rumen Radev said Tuesday that no changes in the government are expected. He was speaking to reporters in the village of Tsaratsovo after taking part in the groundbreaking ceremony for a new plant producing saline solution and medical supplies.
Asked about media reports of possible government changes, Radev said the media should report facts rather than spread “manipulations” by political parties and forces that lost the elections and are seeking to regain public attention.
“All ministers continue to work on implementing our programme and the reforms we have already launched,” Radev said.
Asked whether a government reshuffle should be expected after the first 100 days in office, which he described as far from easy, Radev replied: “No, do not expect one.”
Asked to comment on GERB’s decision not to nominate a presidential candidate, Radev said he did not want to interfere in GERB’s internal affairs. He said the decision was theirs, adding that the party had once had candidates for virtually every office and won those elections, but “times have changed”.
