site.btaSocial Minister Shalapatova Pledges to Be Guided by Professionalism, Openness and Efficiency
Outgoing caretaker Social Minister Lazar Lazarov handed over the post to his successor Ivanka Shalapatova at a ceremony on Tuesday.
“I leave the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy (MLSP) in very good condition,” said Lazarov and added that he and Shalapatova have known each other since years ago, when she also worked in the Ministry. Lazarov pointed out that the atmosphere in the MLSP is "extremely calm".
Shalapatova listed the principles that will guide her work - professionalism, openness, clear results and efficiency. “I do not like to waste my time,” she stressed and added that she took the post with new ideas for development. Shalapatova expressed desire for modernizing social policy for all age groups. The Labour Minister announced that she will get acquainted with the work in the MLSP and in two weeks, after making an analysis, will present her team and her priorities to the media.
