In a position sent to the media on Tuesday, Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov said that the second government-forming mandate is discredited in the hands of Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB). He called on CC-DB to return the mandate unfulfilled so that “we do not lose more of the Bulgarian people’s time and go to elections once Parliament reviews and adopts the [2023 state] budget,” Kostadinov said.
Commenting on Tuesday’s parliamentary hearing of the heads of special services at Vazrazhdane’s proposal following the leaked recording of a Continue the Change meeting last week, Kostadinov said that the head of every single service firmly denied the existence of legislative texts obliging the Executive to coordinate their names with foreign embassies.
The leaked recording implies that there is an understanding to replace the heads of the special services and “the names are to be cleared with the embassy”.
