- Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture and of Slav Letters. Public holiday.

On this date in Bulgarian history:

1851: First celebration of Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture and of Slav Letters, commemorating brothers Cyril and Methodius who invented Slav alphabet. Renamed Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture and of Slav Letters by Parliament in 2022.

1914: PFC Levski is established in Sofia.

1970: First edition of Sofia Music Weeks International Festival. 

1975: Monument to St Cyril and St Methodius is unveiled in front of National Library in Sofia.
