Bulgaria performed remarkably well at two rhythmic gymnastics competitions in Marbella, Spain this weekend: a senior division tournament called Grand Prix Marbella and a junior division competition dubbed Andalusian Cup.

At Grand Prix Marbella, the Bulgarians won the group all-around title after scoring 36.350 points (20.500 for difficulty, 7.750 for artistry and 8.100 for execution). The country's ensemble also won accolades in the apparatus finals: at five hoops and at three ribbons and two balls.

Stiliana Nikolova earned the silver in the individual all-around and two golds in the apparatus finals: one at ball and one at clubs. Nikolova also placed third at hoop and at ribbon. Eva Brezalieva came in third in the individual all-around. In the apparatus finals, Brezalieva got the silver at hoop and at ball.

At the Andalusian Cup, the Bulgarian girls won individual distinctions in the apparatus finals: Magdalena Valkova - silver at ball, and Dara Malinova - bronze at hoop.
