site.btaTwo Injured in Drone Attack in Odesa Overnight
Two people were injured as a result of a large-scale overnight drone attack on Odesa, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, said on his Telegram channel.
“Damage has been caused to two residential buildings. As a result of the strikes, apartments were destroyed, and fires broke out at the impact sites, which have since been extinguished,” Oleh Kiper said.
Damage to port infrastructure in the region has also been reported, the regional governor added. Emergency services are working to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
Bulgarians in the Odesa region number more than 150,000 people, making them the third-largest ethnic group according to the latest official census in Ukraine. In the city of Odesa itself, around 50,000 to 60,000 Bulgarians live. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail, and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
