Rains

Sofia, September 3 (BTA) - An orange alert for intensive rain
has been issued in respect of seven regions on Wednesday: Vidin,
 Montana, Vratsa in Western Bulgaria, Lovech and Gabrovo in
Central Bulgaria, and Stara Zagora and Plovdiv in Southern
Bulgaria, the Environment and Water Ministry said. The
precipitation is expected to reach 60 l/sq m in some places.

A yellow alert has been issued for another 20 regions where the
precipitation is expected to be between 20 and 40 l/sq m.

The Ministry also warned of rising river water levels.

The rains are expected to continue on Thursday as well. SN /ZH/
