A woman was killed in an overnight drone attack on Ukraine's Odesa Region, Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said on his Telegram channel.

Once again, the Russians attacked Odesa Region with drones, Kiper said, adding that civilian infrastructure had again been hit.

A gas main was damaged causing a leak, he said. Emergency services were responding to the aftermath of the attack.

Bulgarians in the Odesa region number over 150,000 and were the third largest population group in Ukraine in 2001, according to the official census. About 50,000 - 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
