PM Radev Arrives in Ankara to Attend NATO Summit

Prime Minister Rumen Radev is in Ankara to attend the NATO Summit on July 7 and 8, the Government Information Service reported on Tuesday. The Bulgarian delegation includes Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova, Defence Minister Dimitar Stoyanov, and Chief of Defence Emil Eftimov.

Radev is expected to attend a reception for heads of state and government hosted by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

On Monday, Radev held a meeting with the Turkish President. The sides identified connectivity as a key priority in bilateral relations, noted the positive trend in bilateral trade, which has reached approximately EUR 9 billion, and discussed new projects of mutual interest. Also, Minister of Energy Iva Petrova met with Turkiye's Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar.
