Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) Supervisory Board Chair Delyana Ivanova said the bank traditionally and actively supports agriculture and domestic production sectors that strengthen the national economy and provide livelihoods for many Bulgarian families. Speaking at the opening of the National Sheep Breeders’ Fair at the Sts Peter and Paul Monastery close to Lyaskovets on Friday, Ivanova recalled that last year BDB launched a financial product aimed at helping Bulgarian producers, particularly by facilitating raw material supply, production and market access for producer groups.
She said the program had been particularly successful among dairy producers and added that the bank planned to develop products that could support a broader range of producers.
Ivanova also said the bank offered various financial products and guarantee schemes supporting both investment and working capital needs.
“In today’s dynamic world, marked by crises and situations requiring immediate solutions, BDB is the state’s only instrument for rapid financial response and support for specific sectors,” she said.
According to Ivanova, the bank enables the state to create sustainable financial instruments that support the long-term development of Bulgarian production.
