site.btaElection Commission Announces New MPs Who Will Replace Cabinet Ministers in Parliament
The Central Election Commission announced on Friday the names of the members of parliament who will take the places of the nine deputies from Progressive Bulgaria who were elected as ministers in the cabinet of Rumen Radev.
Under the Constitution, members of parliament may not hold another public office or engage in activities that are legally incompatible with the position of an MP. A member of parliament elected as a minister suspends their parliamentary powers for the duration of their time serving as a minister.
The newly elected members of parliament from Progressive Bulgaria are:
- Alexandra Angelkova replaces Rumen Radev;
- Vaska Milusheva replaces Galab Donev;
- Momchil Petrov replaces Alexander Poulev;
- Emine Gyulestan replaces Ivan Demerdzhiev;
- Tefik Parafitov replaces Dimitar Stoyanov;
- Stela Ilieva replaces Ivan Shishkov;
- Georgi Kunchev replaces Rositsa Karamfilova-Blagoeva;
- Yulian Dimitrov replaces Ilin Dimitrov;
- Dobromir Georgiev replaces Encho Keryazov.
