The management of Maxi Park Hotel & Spa in Velingrad is committed to the sustainable development of its spa centre and expansion of its health and wellness programmes, with a focus on prevention, recovery, and long-term well-being, hotel manager Sisi Belichenova told BTA.

She said that in recent years, spa and health tourism in Velingrad have been dynamically developing, with guests increasingly seeking not just a vacation, but a holistic experience focused on health, prevention, and recovery. Maxi Park Hotel & Spa offers a comprehensive approach – in addition to traditional treatments, visitors can participate in yoga sessions, guided walks in the forest, water aerobics, and other seasonal activities.

The hotel has seen steady growth in the number of Bulgarian and international guests, who are primarily from neighbouring countries.

The most popular treatments at the hotel are part of a holistic philosophy focused on longevity, detoxification, and restoring the balance between body and spirit. Guests can enjoy mineral water therapies, relaxing and therapeutic massages, anti-stress programmes, and restorative therapies, as well as combined packages that blend relaxation and preventive care.

"The mineral water we use is a key element of our wellness concept. Our hotel is the only one in Velingrad that is supplied by three different mineral water sources, which allows for diverse and targeted therapies," Belichenova said.

She added that specialized programmes are also available – anti-stress, detox, restorative treatments, and programmes designed to strengthen the immune system.

Over the past year, the spa centre has implemented a new generation of therapies and has added a modern detox and regeneration area that combines natural resources with innovative methods.

At the same time, the fitness centre is being developed as part of the comprehensive care system for guests’ health. In the future, the hotel aims to establish itself as a destination for high-end health tourism through personalized solutions for balance and regeneration, supported by investments in modernization and hotel team development.
