Presenting GERB-UDF's governance programme Bulgaria 2030 here on Friday, GERB leader Boyko Borissov said there is no chance for his party to form a coalition with Delyan Peevski's Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF). "We brought down a government over this. How can they even mention our names in the same breath? What logic is that based on?" he asked. "To those trying to link us with [former president] Rumen Radev and to Radev himself - who said I want to do anything with you," Borissov added.
He believes that after his firm stance expressed on Friday, "the emissaries will very quickly head in other directions." According to him, it will be hard for the one who wins the most MP seats in the April 19 elections, because he will have to lead the governance process.
In response to accusations from opponents, Borissov listed the instances in which, as the ruling party, GERB had said “no” to the West, including to Bulgaria accepting illegal migrants.
Borissov criticized Andrey Gurov’s caretaker cabinet for failing to seek parliamentary support for the agreement with Ukraine.
Regarding remarks by Continue the Change leader Assen Vassilev, Borissov said that, at the very least, neither he nor Radev - who is a military pilot - could be called cowards. Democratic Bulgaria have recently realized what "useful idiots" they are, having brought Radev to power through their protests, the GERB leader added, referring to the anti-government protests of December 2025.
In its platform, GERB states that it will not change taxes or social security contributions and will prioritize high technology across all sectors. In the justice sector, the focus is on criminal proceedings.
