BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party/coalition for all constituencies for the April 19 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective political entity, the candidates themselves and other official sources.

Kiril Gumnerov is the top-of-the-list candidate of Nation for Burgas’s 2nd and Plovdiv City’s 16th multi-member constituencies, the party said here Thursday.

Gumnerov was born on 3 August 1969 in Pazardzhik. He completed his secondary education at the French Language High School in Vratsa and his higher education at the University of Economics - Varna. He is serving a fourth term as municipal councillor in Lovech. Since 13 February 2025 he has been chair of Lovech Municipal Council.

He was a member of the 41st National Assembly from the parliamentary group of the Ataka party. He began his political career in the Union of Democratic Forces, which he later left of his own accord.

Gumnerov was among the initiators of the creation of the Ataka party and served in its national leadership. He was elected member of parliament in 2009 from Lovech’s 11th constituency. In 2011 he left the parliamentary group and became an independent member of parliament.

In 2012 he created the national patriotic coalition No to the EU, and in 2021 founded the Nation political party.
