BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party/coalition for all constituencies for the April 19 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective political entity, the candidates themselves and other official sources.

Ivan Lalov is the top-of-the-list candidate of Progressive Bulgaria for Plovdiv Region’s 17th multi-member constituency, the coalition press service said here Thursday.

Lalov is a senior officer in the Bulgarian Army and Air Force and is 63 years old. He graduated from the Georgi Benkovski Higher Air Force School in Dolna Mitropoliya and the G. S. Rakovski Military Academy in Sofia. He is an alumnus of the Joint Defence College in Paris, France. Lalov’s military career began at Ravnets Air Base. From 2014 to 2018, he was commander of Graf Ignatievo Air Base, where he passed through all levels of flight training and command positions.

He speaks Russian, French and English.
