Electricity was traded for an average price of EUR 92.55 (excluding VAT) per megawatt-hour on Tuesday on the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange (IBEX) in the Day-Ahead market segment. Transactions are based on delivery for the following day, March 18.

The energy exchange closed on Tuesday at an average price of EUR 121.31 per megawatt-hour. This means that electricity for Bulgarian businesses tomorrow will be 23.71% cheaper compared to Tuesday’s price.

The average price of peak energy (09:00–20:00) for tomorrow is EUR 72.79 per megawatt-hour, while off-peak energy (01:00–08:00; 21:00–24:00) was traded at an average of EUR 112.30 per megawatt-hour.

IBEX data show that a total of 103,897.55 megawatt-hours of electricity were sold.

In the Intraday market segment, the weighted average price for 60-minute products is currently EUR 95.45 (excluding VAT) per megawatt-hour.

For 15-minute products, the weighted daily average price at this time is EUR 97.61 (excluding VAT) per megawatt-hour.
