Bulgaria's Future Depends on Our Responsibility Today, PM Gurov Says

The future of Bulgaria depends on the responsibility that we are all ready to take on today, said caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gurov at the award ceremony for the 2025 Responsible Business Awards here on Monday.

Gurov said: "The example that we set with the decisions we make and the causes we support is very important. This example is the greatest responsibility." The Prime Minister stated that when a person has achieved success, they have a responsibility to give back to the society that created them.

In his words, success is a consequence of many factors, which can include institutions, work environment, and the teams that helped to achieve this success.

"We in the Council of Ministers are also involved in organizing the celebration for the 150th anniversary of the April Uprising. We made a very interesting parallel: 150 years ago, Bulgarians were faced with a choice that is very similar to the choice that we face today," said Gurov.

He added that the Bulgarians who lived during the Revival led an orderly life and business, yet they chose to invest their time, energy, and resources in the future of Bulgaria.
