The MRF-New Beginning parliamentary group has submitted a draft resolution requiring the Council of Ministers to present a ratification bill on Bulgaria's accession to the Board of Peace in Parliament, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms party said.

"The vote in Parliament will make it crystal clear which parties and leaders consistently and courageously defend Bulgaria's national interest for a worthy place in the most decisive change in the global political map, and which serve the global backstage network of George Soros and Alexander Soros," the press release said.

The MRF-New Beginning also said that with this decision, the Bulgarian Parliament, in the exercise of its constitutional powers, will pronounce on Bulgaria's membership in US President Donald Trump's Board of Peace, which the party says has no alternative.

On January 22, then prime minister Rosen Zhelyazkov announced that Bulgaria joined the Board of Peace under the patronage of the United States and President Donald Trump. On January 25, then foreign minister Georg Georgiev said the government would leave the ratification of Bulgaria's Peace Board membership to the next National Assembly.
