site.btaDanube Arrows International Tournament Brings over 130 Archers to Ruse

Over 130 competitors from Bulgaria and abroad will take part in the Danube Arrows International Indoor Archery Tournament here on January 24 and 25, Ruse Municipality said on Friday. Participants in the age groups men and women, under 21, under 18 and 50+ will compete in the categories Olympic style, compound, barebow and traditional bow in Arena Ruse Hall. There will be mixed team and team formats as well.

The tournament is organized by the Jumbo-2006 Sports Club with the assistance of the Municipality of Ruse and is one of the significant international events in the calendar of this sport. Bulgarian Archery Federation President Atanas Temelkov is expected as the official guest of the event.

The competition programme on January 24 begins at 9 a.m. with the official opening, followed by shooting and qualifications in two sessions. During the day, the qualifying rounds, eliminations, and finals for the mixed teams and team disciplines will be held, followed by the awarding of the categories without eliminations and the team formats.

On January 25, the competition continues at 9 a.m. with eliminations and finals in all divisions and age groups, with the official award ceremony and closing of the tournament scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

In the individual classification, the winners from first to third place in all categories will receive medals and prizes, and in the team classification - medals for first, second and third place.
