The Council of Ministers approved a Memorandum of Understanding and an Action Plan between the governments of Bulgaria, Greece, and Romania. Under the memorandum, the three countries commit to coordinated actions to ensure the future connection of the Aegean Sea, the Black Sea, and the Danube River through joint road and railway projects.

On behalf of Bulgaria, the document will be signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications Grozdan Karadjov.

The strengthening and further development of the European transport corridors Baltic Sea–Black Sea–Aegean Sea and Rhine–Danube are strategic priorities for the EU, providing better connectivity and reliable infrastructure for civilian, commercial, and defence needs.
