“Borders cannot be changed by force, and Ukraine’s long-term security must be guaranteed. Every country must be equally represented at the negotiating table when its future is being discussed,” Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov said, addressing a videoconference meeting on Tuesday of the Coalition of the Willing.
Participants agreed that the agreement reached in Geneva between representatives of the United States, European partners, and Ukraine represents a realistic and sustainable framework upon which the international community can build to advance the process of achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine. The parameters agreed upon in Switzerland are key to shaping a future security architecture.
Led by French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, it included Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and representatives of 36 countries, among them U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President Antonio Costa, and other heads of state and government.
