site.btaAngel Ivanov Appointed Acting Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency

Angel Ivanov is taking over as acting Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency from Mila Nenova who headed the Agency since 2023, the Ministry of Innovation and Growth announced on Monday. According to the ministry's press release Ivanov was previously the deputy executive director. 

The Ministry declined to comment on the leadership change.

Ivanov holds a Master's degree in International Economic Relations from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. He speaks English, German and Russian. He has many years of management experience in public administration, including in investment, digitalization and European integration, as well as serving as head of Bulgaria’s Office for Trade and Economic Affairs in Moscow. He has also advised the Council of Ministers on economic, social and European issues. His professional activities in the private sector cover foreign trade, the organization and management of business structures, and the sale of assets, according to the announcement.

The current Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency, Mila Nenova, has been dismissed from her post by order of the Minister of Innovation and Growth. She was appointed to this position in October 2023 by the then Minister of Innovation and Growth, Milena Stoycheva.
