site.btaRestaurant, Hotel Businesses Hold Protest Rally against Anti-epidemic Measures
October 28 (BTA) - Restaurant and hotel businesses and 
workers Thursday organized protest rallies in many cities 
nationwide against the covid green passes and the anti-epidemic 
measures. 
The rallies were organized by the Alliance of the Tourism 
Industry in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Association of Eating and 
Drinking Establishments, the Association of Eating and Drinking 
Establishments in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant 
Association (BHRA), the Bulgarian Health and Fitness 
Association, and other trade associations. 
BHRA Deputy Chairman Atanas Dimitrov said, speaking to reporters
 in Sofia, that "the sector is down on its knees". 
In Sofia the protesters blocked a key junction for a short time 
and then reached the building of the Health Ministry where they 
demanded the resignation of the health minister. Other key road 
junctions were blocked too.
The rally then stopped in front of the buildings of Parliament, 
the Presidency and of the Council of Ministers, where the 
participants chanted "Resign!". 
In addition to Sofia, rallies were also held in Varna, Rousse, 
Stara Zagora, Lovech, Bourgas, Haskovo, Pleven, Kyustendil, 
Sliven, and Kazanluk. 
Representatives of the hotel and restaurant sector and owners of
 gyms in Pernik briefly blocked traffic between Pernik and
