The Bansko Film Fest in 2025 will present 83 premieres from over 40 countries, the festival organizers said on Friday. The forum will be held from November 19 to 23 at ten locations in the mountain resort of Bansko.

The festival shows films that push the boundaries of human endurance. Amongst others productions from Kazakhstan, Iran, Bhutan and India are included in the festival programme, which will have seven categories in the competition programme. With the film fest 14 presentations of some of the most current mountaineers and adventurers will be organized, as well as meetings with world directors and discussions, 12 photo exhibitions, competitions, a climbing competition, and cave penetration, the organizers emphasized.

World-famous adventurers will appear on the stage to share their extraordinary stories and brave expeditions carried out in the name of science and discovery. Among the highlights of the program are presentations from Jochen Hemleb (Germany), Tsvetan Parov and Nikola Kalistrin, and a master class with Greg Grensden (Canada). The only Bulgarian women's sailing crew Time2Dare will participate with presentations as well. Traditionally, a "Memory" section will be held, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Prof. Georgi Atanasov. 

The organizers will continue the cause of educating over 400 children of different ages in the special children's and youth programme, which includes lessons, competitions, climbing activities, cave exploration and more.

The Bansko Film Fest is organized by the Bansko Film Fest team and Bansko Municipality.
