site.btaFire Breaks Out at Kostinbrod Municipal Transport Company

A fire broke out at the Kostinbrod Municipal Transport Company on Wednesday, with four buses, one school bus, two minibuses and passenger cars were completely burned in the fire, the Municipality said.

Work is currently underway to secure additional vehicles for the public transport, which will ensure the normal schedule for the movement of buses and minimize the difficulties for residents, the Municipality emphasized, adding that due to the situation, there may be delays in some of the courses in the coming days. 

The Interior Ministry informed that the report about the fire was received early on Wednesday morning, with two police officers arriving immediately on the scene making sure no citizens were injured. One of the officers took seven buses to a safe distance from the fire zone, before fire teams from Kostinbrod, Slivnitsa and Sofia arrived and started the localization of the fire. An inspection of the scene is currently underway, and the causes of the fire are being clarified.
