site.btaBulgarian Cultural Society in Berisso to Organize Bulgarian Choreography Forum in Argentina

The Ivan Vazov Bulgarian Cultural Society and the Sedyanka Dance Formation, based in the Argentine city of Berisso, will organize the fifth edition of the initiative Bulgarian Choreography in Argentina. The event is planned to take place on July 5 in the building of the cultural association, the board of trustees of the Ivan Vazov society told BTA.

"Our guests will not only have the opportunity to try dishes typical of Bulgarian cuisine, but also to dance, learning the steps of traditional Bulgarian people," said the organizers.

To all those who will attend such an event for the first time or who have yet to get to know Bulgarian culture, the Ivan Vazov Cultural Society explained that “the horo is a traditional collective dance with cheerful music, the rhythm of which varies depending on the region”.

The Ivan Vazov Bulgarian Cultural Society in the Argentine city of Berisso was established in 1955. It brings together descendants of Bulgarians who moved to Argentina in the first half of the 20th century. The place preserves the spirit of Bulgaria and language courses, celebrations of national holidays and meetings between compatriots are held there.
