The Embassy of Bulgaria in Slovakia and the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Bratislava took part in the international exhibition "Arte Castell. Slavic Impressions - Woman", which reflects the impressionist idea of woman, the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Bratislava said on Thursday. The exhibition is on the occasion of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Slovak Republic and presents works by more than 20 Slavic artists.

Visitors to the exhibition at Bratislava Castle had the opportunity to see the works of artists and sculptors from Slovakia, Bulgaria, Czechia, Serbia, Croatia, Poland, Slovenia and Ukraine. Among the Bulgarian art on display was a work by artist Elisaveta Konsolova-Vazova, painted in the 1920s, sculptural female torsos by sculptor Emil Venkov, and water landscapes by artist Radostina Doganova.

The organizers of the exhibition are the Slovak Parliament, the Embassy of Bulgaria, the Embassy of Serbia, the Ministry of Culture of Serbia, the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Bratislava, the National Museum of History in Bratislava, the Civic Association "We are Women". The coordinator is the Slovak deputy Jana Valova, chairwoman of the Friendship Group with Bulgaria in the Slovak Parliament.
