The Zora folklore ensemble from Paris will perform at the 11th Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance travelling folklore festival, scheduled to take place from May 15 to 17 at BMW Park in Munich.
Artistic director Tsvetomir Tsvetanov told BTA that in the 2026 edition of the event the ensemble will present a composition featuring two dances – a Bulgarian horo circle dance, rachenitsa, and “Na Megdana”.
The first part of the performance is choreographed by Tsvetanov himself, set to traditional folk music. In the second part, the ensemble will perform “Na Megdana”, with choreography by Nestor Nestorov and music by Mihail Yordanov.
A total of 33 dancers from the Zora ensemble will take the stage in Munich.
Tsvetanov said that the ensemble includes dancers of various nationalities – Bulgarians, French, and Belgians, and said he is particularly proud of this diversity, as it helps inspire a love for Bulgarian folklore not only among Bulgarians but also among foreign audiences.
