Grand Hotel Bansko offers modern spa services, expanding its complex with the newly opened Pulse Therme Bansko area, which complements the hotel’s existing spa facilities and attracts both hotel guests and outside visitors, manager Tsvetelina Racheva told BTA.

The recently opened Pulse Therme Bansko area features four saunas, including an infrared sauna, four steam baths, as well as three outdoor and two indoor pools with thermal water, she added.

The hotel’s spa area also offers a variety of facilities, including four saunas, including a salt sauna, four steam baths, and indoor and outdoor pools, all tailored to the complex’s capacity. Visitors can also enjoy various types of massages and therapies in a fully equipped massage centre, noted Racheva.

Grand Hotel Bansko operates year-round and combines spa tourism with winter sports, making it a preferred destination for both ski enthusiasts and guests seeking relaxation and rest, the manager explained. According to her, there has been increased interest from foreign tourists, mainly from the UK, with visitors also coming from Egypt. During the winter season, the hotel reports longer stays by guests at the complex, with more and more of them choosing it again for their next vacation.

In recent months, a number of investments have been made at the complex, including the refurbishment of the restaurant and lobby area, the renovation of some of the rooms, and the modernization of the spa facilities, Racheva added.

Grand Hotel Bansko has received numerous awards, including Spa Hotel of the Year for 2025 in the national Spa of the Year competition, the manager noted.

BTA presents news from certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres in Bulgaria in its BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water feature. Their total number exceeds 200. The initiative, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism, is linked to Europe's leading health tourism event, the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, which will be held from May 11 to 13, 2026, in Varna, Sts. Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena. BTA will be the event's main media partner.
