Spa Hotel Spartak in Sandanski is constantly expanding its spa services with a carefully curated programme of therapeutic and relaxing treatments. The focus is on quality rather than quantity, as the goal is for each therapy to have maximal effect on guests, hotel manager Karamfilka Hristova told BTA.
The hotel offers both traditional and new treatments to improve overall physical condition and restore vitality, Hristova added. One of the highlights is the soap massage in the hammam, which stimulates blood circulation and detoxifies the body. Guests can also enjoy a pearl bath with mineral water and essential oils.
Apart from a variety of massages, the complex offers specialized ones such as Wine Temptation Therapy and Bulgarian Rose Therapy.
The hotel also offers a salt room. Halotherapy is effective in the treatment of various diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract, skin diseases, as well as to improve recovery from fatigue and exhaustion. The complex offers physiotherapy treatments as well, including magnetic and mud therapy, ultrasound, electrotherapy, inhalation and infrared lamp therapy. The spa area includes a swimming pool, jacuzzi, infrared sauna, Finnish sauna, and Roman bath.
Spa Hotel Spartak was the first hotel in Sandanski, built as part of the Balkantourist Holding. Following privatization in 2002, it was renamed to St. Nicholas, but in 2022, on its 20th anniversary, the hotel was renovated and its original name restored. In 2023, the complex celebrated its 50th anniversary in the presence of dozens of former employees.
Spa Hotel Spartak has 7 studios, 7 family rooms, 53 classic rooms and 20 standard rooms. The complex features a restaurant, a pastry shop with a wine bar, a terrace with a capacity for 250 guests, and a music club. The seasonal menu is developed in collaboration with Chef Ivan Manchev.
The hotel is a popular venue for family and corporate events with several conference rooms suitable for training sessions, meetings, and team-building activities. The favorable climate of Sandanski, the mineral water, and the professionalism of the rehabilitation specialists attract many Bulgarian and foreign tourists, hotel management said.
