Olympic Gold Medallist Nasar Takes Third Place in BTA Balkan Athlete of the Year Poll

Olympic champion Karlos Nasar finished third in BTA’s Balkan Athlete of the Year poll, the results of which were announced on Monday.

Nasar did not attend the ceremony but sent a video address thanking journalists for nominating him again and everyone who voted for him and backed him.

He added that Aleksandra Lazarova, whom he described as his team’s “golden” girl, would attend the ceremony to accept the award on his behalf.

"I would like to wish everyone to be healthy, happy, successful and congratulations to the winner! Thank you!" Nasar said.
